It's been a long time since I have posted anything on here and thought I would give a heads up on what I have been up too. I haven't had the itch to write another book for some time but now I am currently working on another novel with a female heroine as the protagonist. I have been told it will difficult for me to write a character from a female's point of view since I am a man. Well I am up to the challenge and look forward to either succeeding or utterly failing. I will keep everyone up to date on my progress. At the moment I am still creating the worlds the characters will inhabit and the stories they will experience. Subscribe to my blog for more info.

December 21, 2012

Well it's been awhile since I have been on my blog and thought it most appropriate to post something now. We have 13 more days until the auspicious date of December 21st. I get questions all the time now at work from coworkers asking me if the end of the world is going to happen. Sometimes I joke with them and tell them, "Oh yeah all hell is going to break loose" and then other times I like to look at them as if they are crazy. I don't believe a major catastrophic event is going to happen. 

Why? Well because how is it we as a race can predict the end of the world but we cannot predict the weather 100% accurately or predict who is going to when the Super Bowl 100% of the time. Yet we can predict our demise! The only thing I know is going to happen that day is the planets will align with the sun and the solar system will align with the center of our galaxy. Also I believe I am scheduled to go to work that day. Ha!

Whatever happens on that historic day will either be eventful or dull. No matter what it is we cannot prevent the end of the world if it is our destiny. I however hope it does not end because I still need to see what Disney plans on doing with the new Star Wars movies.  

Planet X Script

Well I hope I'm not jinxing myself by releasing this info, but I am currently in the process of writing a movie script based on my book Planet X The Annunaki Wars.

Now will it get picked up for development? Maybe not, but it's the chance I am willing to take. Plus it gives me some great practice with writing a script. I believe it will be a great learning experience and help me polish up on my writing skills. I need to have fun with it and think positive about this and maybe some good will come of it.  

Mars

Since I was a kid I have always been fascinated with space and what is beyond our solar system. Planets such as Jupiter were mysterious as to what was beyond the thick atmosphere of gas that swirled around the giant red storm. Mercury, the hot, molten rock constantly bombarded with radiation from the Sun seemed terrifying; yet somewhat unreal. However one planet has always been in the human eye, Mars. This red world so close yet so far away has always caught the imagination of scientists and authors alike.

Now we have a very anticipated movie, John Carter, that takes our imagination and helps to create a world filled with humanoids and four armed aliens in a battle for the red planet we consider Earth's sister. It's stories like these that molded my imagination and pushed me to create Planet X The Annunaki Wars. One day I hope my book inspires others in their pursuit of their imagination and thought provoking ideas.

George Lucas

Ok, this is dear to my heart. George Lucas has announced that he will absolutely never, ever, make another Star Wars movie! He is tired of the criticism from all the "prequel haters." It saddens me to hear this news and see what the mighty internet has done to a great mind like Lucas.

I sure was hoping to see a Knights of the Old Republic type movie someday. I have two great ideas. (1) He could let me do these movies. I have a story line already swirling around in my tiny cranium. (2) This is far the better idea. He could let his daughter Katie Lucas make three more set in the Old Republic time line. She did an awesome job on some of the Clone Wars story lines, especially introducing Savage Opress.

George, you inspired my imagination and gave me the courage to write my book in what I consider the same style of thinking. Thank you!

Adam

Well as I stated few posts back I will be revealing a little about my characters' personalities and past lives. I will not however give away too much to spoil the main story or give too much away for future books.


Adam was born December 15, 1997 in the small town of Hobbs, NM or so he was raised to think. His parents, Jason and Christina Dolby, chose Hobbs because of its location. They knew as well as Mentor that with its quite demeanor and low key location, that Adam would be hidden from King Distar's agents. 


Adam was raised with the same values as other human children but somehow he knew things were different for him. Now Adam's powers never fully came to fruition until he was older but as a child certain did happen that made him wonder who he was. When Adam was 11 even unknowingly performed a miracle for a girl down the street. The little girl's cat had died from a car running over it but Adam was not fazed by the gruesome sight. He helped the young girl scoop up the dead cat and bury the her beloved pet. When Adam put the dead corpse into the ground a slimy goo crept through his hands and onto the cat but he only thought it was bodily fluids from the smashed animal. That night the little girl came knocking on Adam's door squealing with excitement. Mrs. Dolby called for Adam to come down from his room and as he the living room he was astonished to see the little girl holding the cat, but it was no longer dead. For nights he could not sleep as he wondered how this could be until finally he put it to rest years later and forgot the incident had happened.

2012

The famous and possibly fateful year is here, 2012. I'm not too sure if the Mayans have been misinterpreted or just misunderstood, but they were amendment about something great happening this year. Of course many of us know that our solar system will line up with the center of our galaxy and start the Winter Solstice but there are some that say it will start a cataclysm of devastation here on Earth.

I say hogwash! This has happened many times before and look; the Earth is still here. Now will something miraculous happen? Who knows. I for sure cannot wait till December, 21st, 2012.

I will however continue to write the remainder of The Codex and will luck start carving out the continuing story of my characters from Planet X The Annunaki Wars. Plus look out for more book giveaways this month!

Character Profiles

I've been thinking of new ways to draw in readers, but I had kept hitting wall after wall of nothingness. Then it hit me. What is it that intrigues readers to a story. The characters! In my book, Planet X The Annunaki Wars, I gave some insight into who my characters are, but left a lot of mystery to where they had been. So in the coming weeks I will posting character bios here on my blog. Now the question is: "Who do I start with?"

The Codex update

Many of you are probably wondering what The Codex is about and how it ties into The Annunaki Wars. The Planet X universe has a wide array of wonderful characters that I have wanted to expand upon. I think we have all tried to image how and why a character has gotten to a certain point in their lives, but in the end it's all up to the author of the story to give the readers something more solid. One such character I wanted to evolve was Coldor Vam; the despicable, vile, and selfish alien soldier from The Annunaki Wars. In the book I touched on the fact he has a relationship with Vulpina and he has other agendas in mind other than enslaving the humans. I felt like he would be a hated character for his deeds and I wanted to give readers a different perspective of why he is the way he is. Planet X The Codex Chapter 2

What is Planet X about?

Well Planet X The Annunaki Wars has been out 9 months now and has received great reviews, but I still get the all important question of what is it about. I always begin with, "It's a sci-fi novel in the lines of Star Wars and Battlestar Galactica." Then I go on to tell people it has some biblical stories incorporated to explain life and god, but it's a space adventure and not a historical book.

But does that get people interested in the story? I'm beginning to think it doesn't. So I am going to elaborate more on the story and give a brief understanding of where I am taking the Planet X story.

Planet X is not solely centered around the 2012 doomsday theories everyone has heard about. A race of ancient beings that visited Earth in the past and seeded it with knowledge of math, science and writing, returns but not in good faith as before. This time there will be no teachings of new technology or of the universe in whole but only of dominance, fear, and slavery. In the book we are introduced to several characters that will drive the story further but the deep meaning of The Annunaki Wars is not about the apocalypse, but about belief. A few of the characters in the book looked to faith in a deity for guidance only to find that the invaders crushed their hopes with proclamations that they are our gods.

I won't give to much more away, but let me just say that yes my book has spiritual overtones, and will lead to a "holy war."

9/11 Never forget

For those that spit, cuss, and damn our soldiers for what they do, think about what happened 10 years ago today. Think about what these ignorant radical muslims would do to us if we did not have these brave men and women to protect us. To all those that serve in the armed forces here and abroad, I salute you and say thank you for all you have done! To Seal Team 6, I say thank you for KILLING Osama Bin Laden, a vile and sick animal that deserved a bullet through his head. I will never forget the innocent lives lost on this black day of hate and destruction. Life is Eternal and though their flesh and bone no longer walks the earth, they still live on in a more powerful form. Never forget, 9/11.

Update

Hello everyone. Sorry I have not posted anything new in quite some time. I have been very busy at work and have decided to take some time away from writing for now. Planet X The Annunaki Wars took a huge amount of time to research and write and left me neglecting my wife and dogs. As for sales of my book, well things are going very slowly, but I imagined that would happen at first. With 2012 quickly approaching I hope to kick in my gears of promoting it more heavily by next year.

Planet X prequel
